Research position at Bristol University

Simon Bright is currently a visiting research fellow in the History Department at the University of Bristol. This provides a base to continue his historical and archaeological research for his proposed series ‘Great Trading Empires of Africa’. In addition it offers the opportunity to give talks and lectures and engage in discussion  with colleagues and students. It will also enable work with scholars internationally so as to include the latest and most exciting discoveries of the pre-colonial links between Africa and the rest of the world.
