Simon Bright talking with Tendai Biti, Zimbabwe’s Minister of Finance

Simon Bright recently screened Robert Mugabe… What Happened? at the 2012 Open Forum, a conference run by the Africa Foundations of the Open Society on the theme of ‘Money, Power and Sex: The paradox of unequal growth.’ The screening was followed by a lively discussion on the possibilities for development, growth and democracy in Africa, and what can be learned from the story of Mugabe and Zimbabwe. In attendance were ex-president of Mozambique Joachim Chissano and Nelson Mandela’s wife Graça Machel. Simon sent Zimbabwe’s Finance Minister Tendai Biti home with a copy of the film for Robert Mugabe to watch.
