Dance Got Me

May 12th, 2012

documentary (52′)

Dance Got Me is the inspiring story of Bawren Tavazia, a Zimbabwean choreographer who has made it from the townships of Harare to the artistic heights of London’s premier contemporary dance venue, Sadlers Wells. Overcoming personal tragedy and economic instability, Bawren retells the story of how he established himself in England’s dance world. Interspersed with powerful footage from his dances, Bawren’s past is evoked through his choreography as much as through his words.
